First Half Points Set up Second Half Dash

The Lucas-Oil sponsored French F2 racing team DAMS

(21st July, 2021) –

DAMS, the Lucas-Oil sponsored French F2 racing team, rounded off the opening half of the season with a positive weekend as Marcus Armstrong secured his first podium of the year -and the team’s second - at Silverstone.

The Ferrari Driver Academy member finished second in Sprint Race 2 to record 12 points, after securing a front row start with a brilliant opening lap to the first race of the weekend. In his run to the finish he made up five places.

Roy Nissany, from the Williams Racing Driver Academy, secured eighth place for DAMS in qualifying and also put in a storming drive in Sprint Race 2 to go from 21st on the grid to 12th at the chequered flag.

The two cars run on Lucas Oil Synthetic Racing Gear Oil. The team also uses products such as Lucas Oil Brake Cleaner and a number of items from the Slick Mist car care range before every race.

There is now a mid-season break. The time will allow the team to focus on Monza in September, which is the next race in the 2021 schedule.
