Lucas Oil would like to say a big well done to Lucas Oil Kart racer Albert Carter who at just 9 years old has finished 2nd in the TVKC Cadet Championship which has taken place over 7 rounds in all weathers at the fantastic FIA spec PFI Circuit.

Competition has been intense all year in a Championship that has seen no less than 57 drivers, aged 8 - 13 from all over the UK compete and after the last round (November) Albert Carter has finished runner up, something we feel is a fantastic achievement at his age.

Les Downey of Lucas Oil Europe commented; ``We have followed Albert´s progress closely during 2012 with particular attention to the 7 rounds at PFI, it certainly has been a roller coaster ride and if you want action, excitement and determination then look no further than the little fireball that is Albert Carter, he has the same hunger for winning that his Dad has that´s for sure! We are very proud to be associated with him!´´

Albert added, ``it has been a tough year with many ups and downs and although first is what I always want, I´m still proud to have come 2nd at such a great Club and Track, it is no disgrace to runner up to Fusion driver Tom Wood, he is a good driver.´´

Albert´s driver coach David Bellchambers of Next Generation Motorsport commented, "Runner up in the TVKC Comer Cadet Championship is a massive achievement, one because it´s the most prestigious kart club in the country where all the best drivers test themselves against each other and secondly at only 9 years of age, 3 years the junior of some of his opposition, Albert has had to drive years above himself to get this great result. Well done Albert."

We would also like to take this opportunity to say thanks and mention the other companies that support Albert. In no particular order; Yuasa - Hol tAj - VEIDEC - NGK Spark Plugs - Teng Tools - Cottingham Engineering - Rainbow Conference Sets - Pioneer Central - CAAR - Ogden Motorsport, Kaz Aston.com -  Chris Barnes of CBM - Ultimate Air Brush.

You can keep up to speed with Albert´s progress at his 3tc designed website www.albertcarter.com or his Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/CarterMotorsport#!/albertcarter2003
