I was given a bottle of your fuel treatment - 10020 - at the NEC in November last year. I was experiencing pinging on my Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud which has high compression R-R factory experimental engine. This additive appears to have made an improvement and I would like to purchase more of the product. I should prefer to buy a quantity - other than a number of 155 ml. bottles.

I'd just like to say how fantastic your products are! i use the oil stabiliser in every oil change and the tune up in a bottle it really makes my car run brill! i found the products via my dad about 6 years ago and have used them ever since. stockists here are few but well worth travelling for. i've used many other fuel additives and none have the effect of yours! thank you it does exactly what it says on the tin!!

2007 has been a good season for B A Racing in their pro modified 1938 finishing runners up in their first season in the MSA Championsip which is a great achievement for them.

"so to sum up the year an excellant achievement for the team to finish second in the first ever msa championship and if it was not for the starter motor failing in the first round at easter the championship win could have been in their grasp. as ever the lucas oil products never let the team down with the engine bearings coming out like brand new even the rear main after the clutch never locked up on 1 run..the rear end gears have now been in for 2 seasons the 75 140 synthetic gear oil is giving them twice as much life at least than other brands"

I think you may be interested to read about an oil system failure that occurred in my blown methanol powered Anglia, & due to your superb products resulted in no engine damage whatsoever.

The incident occurred at Shakespeare County’s 2006 Open Sports Nationals. Under full power approaching the end of a 7.9 second - 169mph pass, I saw the oil light come on, glanced down at the pressure gauge needle resting on the end stop, & shutdown the engine.

In the pits we quickly traced the problem to a sheared oil pump drive, expecting the worse inspected the oil filter screen, nothing unusual! Removed the sump, checked the crank, rod & main bearings: PERFECT!

An uprated oil pump shaft was the only part required for the remainder of the season, & not only did the engine survive, but went on to retain the championship & reset the Outlaw Anglia ET & Speed records.

I have since has the opportunity to freshen-up the engine for the 2007 season & have found NO abnormal wear on any components. I’m sure the H/D Stabilizer saved the engine & many £££’s

The oil we use is Lucas 50 Plus (11 quarts) + Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer (½ quart)

H-Engineering Triumph in the Zolder SuperPrix

Against all the odds the H-Engineering Team won both rounds of the EuroBoss Masters series at last weekends Zolder SuperPrix in Belgium. Driving the ex Michele Alboretto Footwork Arrows A11B, driver Anthony Hansford fought off strong opposition in both races to finish 5^th overall in the main race and 1^st in the EuroBoss Masters category for pre 1990 Grand prix cars. These victories now place Anthony and the H-Engineering team in a strong 1^st position in the championship.

24hrs earlier all thoughts of achieving two victories seemed very remote. Following a spectacular clutch and flywheel failure in qualifying, the team were contemplating an early return to England on Sunday morning after all attempts to source new components in Belgium failed. However, following a valiant overnight dash back to England by two of the team members, new parts arrived and were duly fitted, resulting in the car taking to the track in the final four minutes of the morning warm-up.

One hour later Anthony was forced to start Race 1 from the back of the grid having failed to complete the requisite number of qualifying laps. He soon, however, was able to make his way through the field despite losing 4^th gear and finally led the class after passing Henk de Boers Coloni with a few laps to go.

Between Races 1 and 2 the team inspected the gearbox to ascertain the loss of 4^th gear only to find a number of stripped ratios. With insufficient time to effect repairs Anthony started race 2 from 5^th on the grid with only 1^st, 2^nd, 5^th and 6^th gear. Despite this handicap and a race long duel with a Dallara Nissan and Larousse Lola he again finished 1^st overall in the Masters class.

I'm sorry that we did not get to see you at the European Finals so I felt I should write a note to thank you for all your support now that our race season is drawing to a close for 2006.

Once again we have been successful in retaining the FIA European Championship title, four years in succession, this has only ever been achieved once before, and never by anyone from the UK. As nobody has ever managed five in a row you can probably guess that this is exactly what we will be aiming for in 2007.

It goes without saying that none of this would be possible without the support and assistance of all our partners. Your contribution to our effort makes us feel we are really fortunate to be able to represent our country and all our partners in this widely recognised FIA Championship.               I Would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your company on behalf of Swansea Institute Formula Student for your generous support to the team in the 05/06 competition. We had a great year; it was everything that was expected and more. The support that was given to us whilst preparing the car was a constant boost for all our team members and allowed us to develop our car to a very high standard that we are proud of.

Your support has helped us gain our best ever result at the international competition with a finish of 25th overall. We managed to top our previous results in the skid pan and the sprint events with a 13th and 10th overall position.

This year our car did not only complete numerous test sessions and the Formula Student competition, but in late July our car completed the Shelsley Wesl Hill climb event. This was a great success and was a great opportunity to show off our car and people that have helped us to achieve so much.

Hello Les, I've just returned from the Open Sports Nationals. I thought I'd let you know that I qualified No1 and gained enough points to Win the Ultimate Power Championship In Super Comp retaining the title.

Dear Sir,

Firstly congratulations for your products as I heard good news about them. I own a 1968 Mini Cooper S, Which I recently fully restored, and use as a classic car.

Since I came through the Lucas catalogues and leaflets I started worrying about the engine and thought I should use your heavy duty oils stabilizer.

The thing is that the car spends a lot time idle (not in use) in the garage so when I start the engine the oil pressure takes quite a lot of time to built up. My car is also equipped with oil cooler. My only difficulty is that since the iol stabilizer is so thick, Wouldn't the 15W/50 oil I use become thicker whn added together, hence worsening the problem at initial start-up?

   I did not have any luck getting Lucas Power steering at the motorists shops in the North East of England but yesterday I was at a car rally at Ripon Race Course and a man had  a stall making number plates and he had almost a full range of Lucas Oil Products for sale.  So problem solved.

   I also bought 5Ltr of lucas 15/40 Magnum Motor Oil as my 1982 Cadillac Seville is due for an oil change I put some Lucas Oil Stabiliser in the engine about 5 Years ago and have since but Transmission Fix in the Gearbox.  The Transmission Fix is brilliant as my car has done 150,000 miles and I know the box has not been out and it still performs silky smooth.  The engine has never had an overhaul either and again is running like new.

   I had the power steering box overhauld 18 months ago because the seals collapsed and the pitman shaft was worn.  But the rack and pinnion must have been worn as the steering was not precise.  I put some Lucas Power Steering Stop Leak in at Ripon and after about 5 miles on the way home the Steering became more precise without any wonder at all.  Fantastic!

 I certainly will recommend Lucas Oil Products to anyone who will listen to me.

Hi Les ,you may remember I spoke to you last week re. my 1997 VW Golf VR6 automatic(61k Miles) which was slipping when cold. I got a bottle of the Transmission Fix, and my VW Agent drained out some of the existing oil, then put in full bottle. Then topped up to normal level. The result i'm delighted to say is that the transmission slippage has dissappeared completely when cold, and the gearbox is operating noticebally better all round. As I was quoted £1700 for a rebuild, you can imagine that I am just a tad delighted that spending circa £12 has sorted problem out...!

Dear Mr Downey, With reference to our meeting and test's carried out by ourselves ref your UCL Fuel Treatment. As a Car & Commercial Breakdown and Recovery service and MOT Testing Station, I was very sceptical on the percentage you quoted on fuel savings, you quoted a minimum of five percent. In fact the average percent to my surprise is more like 18 percent and therefore I am more than pleased with the fuel savings alone on your product.

I am also pleased with the extra performance and better running of the vehicles, I also use your product UCL with high emission vehicles in the MOT's. It is very easy to recommend your UCL as a product, which actually does what it says. Listed below are vehicles which tests where carried out. Scania 8mpg to 9.5mpg up 18% Foden 6mpg to 8mpg up 33% Escort Van 35mpg to 43mpg up 22% ERF 7mpg to 10mpg up 42% I trust this information is of interest to you.

We recently received this e-mail from a gentleman known as Doctor John, from America. Dr. John has a internet radio show on AM900 CHML every Thursday 4.00pm to 5.00pm EST.

Hi Les, Dr. John the radio car doctor here. Thank you for helping out my UK listeners on Lucas Oil products. Just to put you in the picture, I came upon Lucas products in 1996 and decided to do my own tests, to see if it's claims were justified. As you know the old adage "If it sounds to good to be true, then it usually is!". Prior to this the best additive we had was called 'Tufoil', this was a Teflon based product, which appeared to have good results over the rest of shelf choices. But when I read one of the laboratory ex-scientist's reports, who had been involved in the making of it, I knew then that long term use was detrimental to the engine. I stopped recommending it to my listeners. It has now been withdrawn from the marketplace.

I was able to get some samples of Lucas products in '96 from a company who was selling the product, and to promote the company, I gave away Lucas as prizes for answering some automotive trivia. With each winner I gave a test sheet and asked them to fill this out and return it to me. The answers were very positive. I usually get two or three calls on air every week about the product or congratulating me on telling them about it and they used it and were completely satisfied that it works.

My e-mail from around the world averages 50 to 80 questions a day, and very often these are asking me about additives. Lucas is the only one I recommend and the rest are no-go. I also e-mail brochures out to interested parties. The little demo unit that sits on the counter shows exactly how good the Lucas Oil Stabilizer works, and I stress the fact that it totally stops cold engine start-up wear, the highest wear an engine experiences is in start-up. I have used it in my vehicles since 1996.

I will be putting up a web page explaining all the good things about Lucas products soon. To me Lucas isn't an additive, it's a medicine to extend the life of your engine!

Dear Sir, I would like to tell you about huge successes with two of your products. I was persuaded to use your oil stabilizer as I was having trouble with oil getting down the valve guides. I put 25% strength of your additive and have had no such trouble since. A local haulier sold me a pint of the fuel additive/upper cylinder lubricant (these by the way were both used in a restored vintage, 34 years old, AEC V8 Mandator) I would have been pleased with anything in the 8 mpg zone but I got 10.3 mpg.
