TICKTUM TAKES A SECOND SUCCESSIVE F2 PODIUM IN THE LUCAS OIL CAR

A second podium in successive rounds last weekend (11-12 July, Austria) confirms the strength of the Lucas Oil-sponsored DAMS Team challenge for the 2020 FIA Formula 2 Championship.

Lucas Oil is one of the world’s leading oils, lubes and additive manufacturers and has extended its support for the DAMS Team this season. It’s Synthetic Racing Gear Oil and Brake Cleaner were essential contributors to the team's 2019 F2 Team Championship win and are once again playing their part. Both drivers scored points in the Feature Race (40 laps) and the Sprint Race (20 laps).

The second round haul of 19 points is helping to generate the kind of momentum that the DAMS Team will need in order to retain the title. Dan Ticktum (GB) finished 10th in the Feature Race, then in the Sprint Race came one position higher than in the previous round to secure 2nd place. He must fancy his chances of victory in the next one.

After disappointments in both races of the opening round, teammate Sean Gelael (IND) was pleased with his car’s improved reliability, adding vital points in each event.

Despite the enforced absence of spectators, the use of Lucas Oil Slick Mist ensured that both cars were in pristine condition on the grid. Round three is in Budapest, Hungary, next month (17-18 August).
