Albert Carter Races Into Ministox

Following runaway success on the Junior National Karting circuits, the 12-year-old racing prodigy (son of four time FIA European Top Fuel Dragster Champion Andy Carter) is prepared for the new challenge and a far more demanding racing environment:

“Ministox racing is a contact sport and we compete in modified Minis, strengthened by a welded steel chassis with a shell of armour for protection,” he says.

Engines are restricted to 1000cc, although some modifications are allowed. The new car was built by Andy and Albert and runs on Lucas Oil. Lucas Oil partnered Andy to every European crown.

Andy says:

“Albert is racing against drivers who are up to 15 years old, people older and more physically mature than he is, but he won the Thames Valley Karting Club (TVKC) IAME Championship aged 10, so he has the skills and the temperament that you need to win. He’s got as much racing experience as any of them and a better track record than most. He’s also got the advantage of racing on Lucas Oil, a brand associated with motorsport success and already responsible for five Carter championship victories.”

Lucas Oil partnered Albert to the 2013 TVKC championship, a title that Albert points out has a list of previous winners that includes such illustrious names as Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher:

“And also Albert Carter,” adds the confident youngster.
