Lucas Oil Kart Racer Carter kicks off the 1st round of the TVKC in style!

What a fantastic start to the 1st round of the 2013 Trent Valley Kart Club Cadet Championship for Albert who was `on one' all weekend!

The event took place at the very fast 1382 metre world famous PFI International Circuit near Grantham. A 2nd in heat 1 (as well as fastest lap) started the cold Sunday morning off well, another 2nd in heat 2 from the back and then a solid 3rdin heat 3 was good enough to give the 9 year old P2 for the 34 Kart final alongside pole sitter Teddy `The Bear' Wilson with WTP Kartmasters Champion Dylan Lee in P3 and quick local lad Mario Mills on P4.

The flag went down on the final and it was a fantastic race to watch let alone be in! The lead swopped between Wilson, Carter and Patterson with Carter leading the last 3 of 4 laps but it was Wilson who took the win with Albert 24 thousands behind. This sees Albert currently 2nd in the Championship.

As if Albert wasn't busy enough trying to keep focused he was also host to 25 disadvantaged Children and their parents who had made the long trek up from London to watch Albert in action and find out what this Karting is all about, they all had a great time with the fantastic staff at TVKC giving them a tour of race control and a track walk during the lunch break.

Big thanks go out to Kaz (http://www.kazaston.com/) Aston of the London Rotary Club for making it happen, all the staff at TVKC (especially Big John and Nigal) plus Lucas Oil, Teng Tools, NGK, Carter Motorsport, TVKC for the goody Bags.

Carter's next race will be at Kimbolton on the 13th / 14th April.
