Lucas Oil sponsored Comer Cadet Kart racer Albert Carter won his first final on May 26th at a very hot Camberley Raceway.

Competition was tough enough with amongst others, the top 10 in the Camberley Kart Club points present and ready to make it as difficult as possible for the young and as usual hungry and fired up Carter, who is a TVKC member

A 2nd in heat 1, 2nd in heat 2 and 1st in heat 3 was enough to give Carter his 2nd pole in his career for the final. As the flag went down on the 18 lap final it was Carter who took the lead and pulled a few Kart lengths on the chasing Tom Knill and Sam Dobbs, with 4 laps to go pressure was intense from Knill who was right on Carters bumper but despite some good efforts was unable to find a way round.

Albert´s Dad Andy Carter, a former 4 times FIA European Champion and veteran of 40 years in Motorsport commented,

"As any Dad would be, I´m extremely proud of Albert on getting his first Final win. He has had a tough time in his first year in MSA Karting and I will be the first to admit 90% caused by himself. But there is also no doubt he has worked very hard over the last year, is very hungry and shows a grit and determination that is needed if you are to succeed in Motorsport, well done Albert!´´
